Event description

This course includes 1.5 NYS SW and/or AASECT CE credits (see details below).

Based on the soon-to-be released book, Modern Sexuality: Uncovering the Truth About Sex and Relationships, this workshop presents the most current psychological research on “non-normative” sexualities, encompassing orientation, non-traditional relationships, and even specific fantasies and kinks, and then provides concrete steps used to help clients reduce shame and embrace sexual authenticity. This talk will also serve as a book release, meaning that everyone will receive a free signed copy of the book (sold on Amazon for $36) included with the ticket price.  So if you’re interested in the book, you can get a signed copy, admission to the talk, and CEs—all for roughly the price of the book itself.

*PROGRAM APPROVED: The Sexuality Speaker Series has been approved by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as a continuing education provider (# 0314) for licensed social workers. This course is approved for 1.5 CE Credits.

*PROGRAM APPROVED:  This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 1.5 AASECT CE Credits. These CE Credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification.
